Snack Box Kids (SBK) is fully committed to supporting young people on their entrepreneurial journey by taking on the initial risks and financial responsibilities involved in launching a vending business. SBK oversees every critical element of business formation, including selecting and securing optimal vending locations, purchasing and installing vending machines, and managing marketing efforts and operational systems.
After establishing the business infrastructure, SBK moves forward by defining criteria for youth selection and establishing clear expectations for their participation. Through targeted sponsorship programs, each chosen youth receives a vending machine and the opportunity to manage their own vending route. This phase ensures that every participant has the necessary resources and guidance to start operating their business successfully.
In the final phase, SBK encourages youth leaders to expand their business operations by acquiring additional vending machines, thereby extending their routes. This opportunity allows participants to increase their independence and potentially earn more than typical summer jobs offer. Youth participants are empowered to grow sustainable businesses, enhance their entrepreneurial abilities, and achieve greater financial success.

You and your route operator will work together to decide which products to place in your vending machine. The selection process is guided by several important factors:

Consideration is given to what people in the area are likely to want or need, ensuring the machine is stocked with appealing options.

Donations play a crucial role by providing direct support to individual youth participants. Each donation covers the "Lease to Own" fee associated with financing a vending machine, enabling youth to manage and operate their own machine — removing a significant barrier to entry and empowering them to gain valuable entrepreneurial experience.
